KazNARU AND GOETHE UNIVERSITY IN FRANKFURT DISCUSSED COOPERATION OPPORTUNITIES

✅ A meeting was held between the Chairman of the Board - Rector of the Kazakh National Agrarian Research University, President of the NAS RK Akhilbek Kurishbayev and the Rector of the Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main, Professor Dr Enrico Schleiff.

✅ Founded in 1914, Goethe University is a leading university in Germany in the fields of physical geography, archeology, pharmacology and general medicine, philosophy, social sciences and linguistics. In addition, it has high research reputation in the areas of social sciences and engineering, earth sciences and oceanography.

✅ During the meeting, issues of bilateral cooperation, the implementation of joint research projects aimed at strengthening cooperation between the two universities were discussed.

✅ "International cooperation is one of the priority areas for KazNARU, and we are interested in cooperation with the Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main in training students in the field of engineering and other fields. Partnership in this area can significantly contribute to the exchange of knowledge and innovative practices, which will be an important contribution to the development of science and technology," said Rector Akhilbek Kazhygulovich.

✅ In turn, Rector Enrico Schleiff expressed his intention to deepen partnership relations with KazNARU in developing cooperation and made a number of proposals that will allow us to jointly prepare competitive personnel and scientific developments for the agro-industrial complex.

✅ The possibility of creating academic mobility programs was also discussed, which will allow students and young scientists from Kazakhstan and Germany to gain unique experience, study new educational methods and cultures, which will significantly enrich their academic and professional training.

✅ During the meeting, Akhilbek Kurishbayev shared the content of his article “Rebooting Domestic Science: Where to Start?”, published in the national newspaper “Kazakhstanskaya Pravda”, which aroused the interest of Professor Shleiff. This article proposes conceptual approaches to organizing priorities for the development of science, which will significantly increase the return on it. Universities should become the basis for promising priorities, as an optimal environment for combining personnel training, scientific research and innovation.

✅ Both rectors were confident that this meeting would give a powerful impetus to further cooperation in the field of education and science between universities.
