✅ KazNARU has access to world leading knowledge platform- COURSERA
The grand opening of the “COURSERA” Computer Classroom for 610 students and teaching staff took place at KazNARU today.
On behalf of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the international knowledge platform “Coursera” was introduced to universities in Kazakhstan with the ultimate goal of providing access to high-quality world-class education.
Today, the educational platform Coursera brings together more than 124 million students from all over the world. It has more than 185 partners from some of the most prestigious universities in the world, such as Harvard University, Columbia University, MIT, Stanford University, Yale University, as well as more than 115 well-known global technology and industrial leaders and companies, such as Google, IBM, Microsoft, and etc.
✅ The solemn opening ceremony of the auditorium was attended by: Chairman of the Board - Rector of the Kazakh National Agrarian Research University, Vice-President of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan Professor Akhylbek Kurishbayev, President of the international society "Kazakh Tili" and the BMG UpSkill Company Rauan Kenzhekhanuly and Deputy Chairman of the Board - Rector KazNARU Ainur Kaiyrbayeva, head of the office “Design of educational programs” Zhanar Kusainova, platform mentor at the university Sabit Butakulov, and deans of faculties.
✅ According to Mr. Rauan Kenzhekhanuly, the BMG UpSkill company is an exclusive partner of the Coursera educational platform in Kazakhstan, which helped equip computer classroom in KazNARU.
This platform has access to more than 11,000 international and 100 localized training courses covering a wide range of different knowledge, skills and disciplines. The Coursera brings together training from more than 300 of the world's leading universities (Stanford, Duke, Yale, Columbia University) and technology giants (Meta, Google, Intel)."
“Thanks to the localization of educational content from the largest and most authoritative global educational ecosystem, now Kazakhstani people who do not speak English or speak it at an insufficient level have the opportunity to undergo online training in world-class certification programs. The BMG UpSkill company translated 201 courses into the Kazakh and Russian languages,” noted Mr. Rauan Kenzhekhanuly.
✅ According to the organizers, students and teaching staff are currently actively using the Coursera platform, where 6641 videos were watched, 4427 materials were used for self-study, 3543 assignments were completed, and 178 certificates in world-class certification programs were received within two weeks.
