“MY REPUBLIC — MY FUTURE!” ESSAY COMPETITION HELD AT KazNARU

From 19 to 29 October 2026, the Kazakh National Agrarian Research University (KazNARU) held an essay competition entitled “My Republic — My Future!” to mark Kazakhstan’s Republic Day. The competition was organised by the Department of Languages for university students.

The competition aimed to foster Kazakhstani patriotism, civic responsibility and respect for national values among students, encourage them to express their views on the present and future of the country, and develop their creative and critical thinking skills.

Participants were invited to write an essay in Kazakh on one of five topics: “How Do I Envision the Future of Kazakhstan?”, “My Contribution to the Development of My Country”, “Youth as the Driving Force of Kazakhstan”, “National Values and Modern Society”, or “An Educated Generation as the Key to a Bright Future”.

The submissions were evaluated based on the depth of analysis, clarity of the author’s perspective and civic position, strength of argumentation, coherence and structure, patriotic and educational content, creativity, originality, richness of vocabulary and linguistic accuracy.

Following the evaluation, first place was awarded to Saadat Ashrakhun, a first-year student at the Faculty of Engineering and Technology. Second place went to Aruzhan Nagashybai, a first-year student at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Zooengineering, while third place was awarded to Ibrahim Almasuly, also a first-year student at the same faculty. The winners received diplomas and prizes.

The jury also recognised several outstanding entries for their depth of content, originality and creative expression.

Arsen Saparbayev, a first-year student at the Faculty of Forestry and Land Resources, received the “Best Original Perspective” award. Nurila Timurkyzy, a student at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Zooengineering, was recognised in the “Best Patriotic Essay” category, while Shuak Serik, a student at the same faculty, received the “Master of Language” award.
