KazNARU OPENS INTERNATIONAL CENTER FOR INCLUSIVE EDUCATION WITH SUPPORT FROM ERASMUS+
On July 2, 2026, the Kazakh National Agrarian Research University (KazNARU) held the official opening ceremony of the International Center for Inclusive Education, established within the Erasmus+ EduFusion international project.
The opening of the center marks an important step for the university in ensuring equal opportunities in higher education, fostering an inclusive academic environment, and introducing modern educational technologies.
The ceremony was attended by Laura Paluanova, National Coordinator of the Erasmus+ program in Kazakhstan, Rafis Abazov, Erasmus EduFusion project coordinator, university leadership, international experts, faculty members, students, and representatives of the public.
During the event, participants learned about the center’s activities and emphasized the importance of adopting international experience in inclusive education. It was noted that initiatives implemented under Erasmus+ EduFusion aim to create an accessible and high-quality educational environment in higher education.
The International Center for Inclusive Education will serve as a modern platform for building accessible learning spaces for students with special educational needs, introducing inclusive practices, developing digital solutions, and coordinating scientific and methodological work in this field.
The main areas of the center’s activity include:
- Development of programs adapted to international standards of inclusive education
- Enhancing faculty competencies for teaching in inclusive and diverse environments
- Expanding infrastructure to ensure equal opportunities for all learners
The opening of the new center once again confirms KazNARU’s commitment to social responsibility, academic openness, and equality. This initiative also contributes to achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals and strengthening the university’s international cooperation.
Within the project, Competence Development Centers for faculty will be established at each partner university. Subsequently, cooperation agreements will be signed between these centers in Kazakhstan and their counterparts abroad, including institutions in Europe, South America, Central Asia, and Africa. In addition, the project aims to strengthen entrepreneurship skills among university graduates, ensuring they are better prepared for professional success in diverse and competitive environments.
By implementing Erasmus+ EduFusion, KazNARU continues to expand international scientific and educational ties and contributes to building an inclusive and innovative higher education space in Central Asia.
