FROM THEORY TO PRACTICE: KazNARU STUDENTS GAIN HANDS-ON EXPERIENCE
Internships are a key part of the educational journey at KazNARU, helping students transform theoretical knowledge into practical skills while preparing for professional careers. They foster responsibility, independence, and discipline, while allowing students to engage directly with real-world production processes.
In the 2025–2026 academic year, fifth-year students of the “Veterinary Food Safety and Technology” program (6B09103) completed their internship from October 20 to November 21 at the Scientific-Educational Innovative Center for Food Technology and Quality at KazNARU.
During the internship, students explored the Center’s laboratories, equipment, and modern research methods for evaluating milk, dairy products, flour, bread, and bakery goods. They mastered standardized procedures for quality and safety assessment, studied national and interstate food standards, and gained hands-on experience with technological processes in both plant-based and animal-derived product production.
Students independently conducted analyses using advanced instruments such as the Infrared Grain and Flour Analyzer “Infraskan-105”, ultrasonic milk analyzer “Lactan 1-4M”, and other laboratory and production equipment. They also applied modern techniques to produce soft ice cream, cottage cheese, yogurt, dietary cheeses, and bakery products. Product tastings confirmed the high level of skills and competencies they developed.
Beyond technical training, students participated in a Turkish cuisine master class, gaining insights into culinary traditions and flavor harmony, and joined a volunteer environmental cleanup as part of the national campaign “Clean Kazakhstan”, reinforcing ecological awareness and responsibility.
Overall, the internship provided students with invaluable practical experience, strengthened their professional competencies, and helped them adapt to real production conditions. KazNARU congratulates its students on their achievements and wishes them continued success, creativity, and confidence in their future careers.
