DUAL EDUCATION: COMBINING KNOWLEDGE AND PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE

On November 19, 2025, the active implementation of dual education programs continues in cooperation with the “South-Eastern Region” branch of the RSE “Republican Forest Selection and Seed Production Center” under the Committee for Forestry and Wildlife of the Ministry of Energy, Subsoil Use and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Third-year students of the 6B08302 – “Forest Resources and Forestry” educational program are enhancing their professional competencies under the guidance of Associate Professor A.Zh. Toktassynov. A significant contribution to shaping students’ practical skills is made by university graduates working at the branch — Ulpan Bakytbekkyzy and Albina Nurlankyzy.

During dual education, students study seed propagation technologies for tree and shrub species in the microclonal propagation laboratory, learn methods of seedling cultivation in the nursery, and develop practical skills in seed quality assessment, forest restoration, and forest resource management. The branch is one of the university’s key partners in providing annual student internships.

Representing the university, Head of Department A. Kopabayeva and Leading Specialist of the Practice and Employment Office B. Adilkhan visited the branch to review the progress of the dual education process and discuss future cooperation plans.

This long-term partnership plays an important role in training highly qualified professionals for the forestry sector.
