About the project
Relevance Research on automatic sorting of apples into commercial varieties is relevant in the modern world for several important reasons. First of all, it is aimed at improving production efficiency and reducing losses in agriculture and the food industry. Automatic sorting helps to increase productivity, reduce losses and ensure high product quality. Additionally, the study supports the desire of enterprises in the agro-industrial sector to increase competitiveness. Automation of apple sorting reduces labor costs, reduces errors and, thus, contributes to improving positions in a global competitive environment. The social significance of the research is manifested through the creation of jobs and the development of rural regions. New technologies in agriculture contribute to social sustainability by supporting employment and developing the economy of the area. The environmental benefits of automatic sorting include reducing the use of chemicals. Accurate classification of fruits reduces the need for chemical treatment, which has a beneficial effect on the environment. The improvement in product quality is a consequence of more accurate determination of the characteristics of apples during automatic sorting. This meets the high standards required for products and meets the requirements of modern consumers. In the context of global trends towards automation, research in the field of automatic sorting of apples into commercial varieties corresponds to global aspirations for the introduction of modern technologies in agriculture. Thus, the study promises to optimize production processes, improve product quality and promote sustainable development in economic and environmental terms. The purpose of the project The main goal of the project is to develop digital technology and a small-sized machine with artificial intelligence for quantifying quality indicators and automatic sorting of apples into commercial varieties. Expected and achieved results 1. Creation of digital technology for determining quality indicators and a small-sized machine for automatic sorting of apples into commercial varieties. 2. Development and research of new digital intelligent methods and tools for quantifying apple quality indicators. 3.The obtained scientific results can be used to develop a new generation of digital automated intelligent installations and machines for quality control and automatic sorting of food products.
