KazNARU SCREENS THE FILM "SIX INCHES OF SOIL" AS A PART OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT AGENTA
Kazakh National Agrarian Research University (KazNAIU) together with the British Embassy in Kazakhstan held an open screening of the documentary film "Six Discussed Issues" dedicated to development issues.
The documentary film "Six Fingers" reflects the study of the importance of the situation in the third stage of sustainable development and environmental conservation. A picture of the role of land as a key resource for agriculture, ecosystems and general change of humanity. The film also touches on the issues of climate change, biodiversity and farming methods.
The screening of the film is organized by the British Embassy in Kazakhstan. Kirri Hendriksen, Second Secretary for Climate and Environmental Change, and Ainura Islamgalieva, Project and Climate Specialist, played a key role in organizing this event.
“We are pleased to support this important event and help raise awareness about real development. The film “Six Feet of Land” offers a deep and thoughtful look at the state of our planet and the landscape of the earth as a resource,” said Kirri Hendriksen.
“The documentary not only informed, but also inspired action. We hope that this became a starting point for promoting the initiative in the field of development and green technologies,” said President Ainura Islamgalieva.
“Organizing such events involves not only raising the level of knowledge and expertise, but also establishing connections between academic institutions and international leaders. We hope that this screening of the film became the beginning of long-term cooperation with the British Embassy and other interested organizations,” said KazNARU Vice-Rector for Cooperation Promotion Rafis Abazov.
KazNARU actively supports initiatives aimed at sustainable development and environmental protection. The university implements many projects related to ecology, clean technologies, sustainable agriculture, conservation of natural resources, re-greening of the campus and collection of plastic for recycling.
After the screening of the film, a question and answer session was held, where participants could ask questions and discuss what they saw, which became an excellent opportunity to learn more about development issues, exchange ideas and establish contacts with like-minded people.
