KazNARU AND NINGXIA HUI DISCUSS COOPERATION ON SALT-AFFECTED AGRICULTURAL LAND

On September 21, Kazakh National Agrarian Research University (KazNARU) hosted a delegation from the Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, China, for a working meeting focused on research collaboration and the application of advanced agricultural technologies.

Representing KazNARU were Primkul Ibragimov, First Deputy Chairman of the Board – Rector, and Kuat Sultangaziyev, Deputy Chairman of the Board – Rector for Infrastructure Development and Social Affairs, alongside members of the university leadership, researchers, and subject-matter experts.

The Ningxia Hui delegation included agricultural sector representatives Yang Fa, Yu Fengjuan, and Lu Yaofu.

A key focus of the discussions was the sustainable use of salt-affected agricultural land. The participants explored opportunities for joint research on salt-tolerant crops, improved management of saline soils, and the testing of advanced agricultural technologies.

The meeting also covered professional training, scientific knowledge exchange, and opportunities to develop joint demonstration projects.

The discussions identified several priority areas for future collaboration, laying the groundwork for further scientific and practical cooperation in agricultural research and technology.
