SHEEP MILK: INTEGRATION OF THEORETICAL KNOWLEDGE AND PRACTICAL SKILLS
On February 24, 2026, Professor Beybit Turganbekovich Kulatayev of the Department of Zooengineering and Biotechnology conducted an open lecture on “Sheep Milk” within the course “Sheep and Goat Breeding” for students of the educational program 6B08201 – Technology of Livestock Production (group TPPZh-22-01K).
At the beginning of the class, a short public survey about sheep milk was organized to explore its benefits and areas of use. This approach enhanced student engagement and demonstrated the real-life relevance of the topic.
During the lecture, video materials were presented covering sheep milking technology, modern dairy farm operations, primary milk processing stages, and cheese production from sheep milk. These materials helped connect theoretical knowledge with practical production examples.
As part of the practical session, a sheep milk tasting was conducted. Students evaluated its taste, smell, consistency, and fat content, comparing their observations with theoretical data.
The lecture concluded with an interactive quiz on the Quizizz platform aimed at assessing learning outcomes and developing analytical thinking skills.
The open lesson demonstrated the effectiveness of practice-oriented learning and highlighted the high nutritional value and technological importance of sheep milk, as well as its development prospects in domestic livestock production.
