ACTIVE STUDENT – ACTIVE SOCIETY
On February 16, 2026, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Zooengineering and Biotechnology, Gabit Gulzat Gabitkyzy, conducted an event with the students of group МШ-25-01К on the topic “Active Student – Active Society.”
The purpose of the event was to develop students’ leadership skills, enhance their civic responsibility, and foster an active life position.
During the event, participants were divided into two teams: “Modern Youth” and “Traditional Heritage.” Each team analyzed the role of an active student in society and aimed to justify the importance of leadership qualities.
The “Modern Youth” team discussed the initiative of student leaders in the digital society, their innovative thinking, social media engagement, and volunteer activities. Meanwhile, the “Traditional Heritage” team focused on the role of national values and traditional upbringing in shaping leadership, emphasizing that only a spiritually grounded individual can lead society forward.
Throughout the debate, students freely expressed their opinions and responded to opposing arguments with clear evidence. This contributed to the development of their critical thinking, public speaking, and teamwork skills.
In addition, as part of the event, interviews were conducted among the public to gather opinions about what defines an active student. Most respondents noted that a student should not only be a learner but also an инициативе-driven, responsible, and exemplary leader.
In the creative segment, the teams prepared video presentations on the topic “Imaginary Society,” proposing a model of a future society shaped by active and leadership-oriented youth. The videos demonstrated the students’ creativity and organizational abilities.
The event was aimed at unlocking students’ leadership potential, increasing their social engagement, and strengthening their confidence in defending their positions.
