KazNARU STUDENT BECOMES WINNER OF THE NATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP COMPETITION

Akerke Serikkyzy Rakhymzhan, a 3rd-year student of the “Processing Industries Technology” educational program at the Department of “Food Products Technology and Safety,” has been named the winner of the National Scholarship Competition organized by the Nursultan Nazarbayev Foundation. Today, she took part in the award ceremony held in Astana, becoming a witness to the high-level event.

This year, 40 full-time students in the “Arts and Culture” category were awarded the Foundation’s special scholarship. The scholarship is provided in addition to state payments. The top students were selected in accordance with the competition requirements.

Participants were required to successfully complete at least two years of study, maintain high academic performance, actively engage in social and educational activities, and demonstrate achievements in national and international festivals and competitions. This year, the competition received 259 applications from all regions of the country.

According to Alkey Margulanuly, Deputy Executive Director of the Foundation, awarding the special scholarship is an important tool for supporting motivated and ambitious youth.

“Since 2010, the Foundation has been implementing this project. Over this period, nearly 5,000 applications have been received, and 1,039 students have become scholarship recipients. Today, many of them are accomplished professionals in their respective fields. Each student’s victory is a motivation that leads to new heights,” he said.

The award ceremony featured captivating performances by the Astana Musical theatre ensemble, artistic showcases by scholarship recipients, and congratulatory remarks from prominent figures of Kazakhstan’s cultural sphere.

Akerke’s participation in this significant event is a clear recognition of her hard work and academic achievements.
