“My Profession – My Pride!” Educational and Awareness Event Held

At the Kazakh National Agrarian Research University, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Zooengineering, the Department of “Zooengineering and Biotechnology” organized an educational and awareness event titled “My Profession – My Pride!” for students of the 6V05102 – “Biotechnology” program, groups BT-25-01K and BT-23-03K.

President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, has repeatedly emphasized that biotechnology is one of the strategic directions of national science and the economy. According to the Head of State, developing biotechnology is not only about advancing science but also a key mechanism to ensure national security, the stability of the healthcare system, and the innovative development of agriculture.

In support of this initiative, university students contributed by organizing this informative event.

The event was attended by Erbekbay Abdikhalyk Medeuly, leading specialist of the Youth Affairs Department, Nazerke Esberdinova, specialist of the Youth Affairs Department, PhD Nuradil Spatai, Deputy Dean for Academic and Educational Work, and Beibit Kulataev, Head of the Department of “Zooengineering and Biotechnology”, PhD, who congratulated the students and conveyed their best wishes.

During the event, students introduced their profession, presented detailed reports on the five main directions of biotechnology and its advantages. A specially prepared video showcasing interesting moments from the educational process was also shown. To add excitement, a quiz game “Who am I or What is This?”, a mini-laboratory practical “Update Explosion”, and a fun competition “Who is Faster?” were held.

At the conclusion, the curator of groups BT-25-01K and BT-23-03K, Gulim Azatkyzy Valieva, emphasized that “Biotechnology is the key to the future!”, encouraged students to deeply master their profession, be active, and engage fully in student life. As tradition, all participants took a commemorative group photo.

The event was informative and, we believe, further enhanced students’ interest and passion for the “Biotechnology” educational program.
