AGRICULTURE WORKERS’ DAY – A CELEBRATION OF HONEST LABOR AND ABUNDANCE!
In Kazakhstan, the Agriculture Workers’ Day is traditionally celebrated on the third Sunday of November. This special day honors the dedicated people whose work ensures the country’s food security and contributes significantly to the social and economic development of the regions.
In honor of this occasion, a festive event was held at the Kazakh National Agrarian Research University (KazNARU). The main goal of the event was to recognize the leading professionals of the agro-industrial sector and help students better understand the strategic importance of agriculture.
The ceremony was opened by Pirimkul Sholpankululy Ibragimov, Member of the Board, First Vice-Rector – Deputy Chairman of the Board, Doctor of Veterinary Sciences, Professor. He conveyed the congratulatory message from the Chairman of the Board – Rector of KazNARU, President of the National Academy of Sciences of Kazakhstan, Academician Akylbek Kazhygululy Kuryshbayev, stating:
“Agriculture is not only the foundation of the nation’s food security, but also the key to improving the quality of life and ensuring the sustainable development of our regions. The bread and milk, meat and honey, fruits and vegetables on our tables are the results of the tireless work of those in the agricultural sector.
President Kassym-Jomart Kemelevich Tokayev constantly emphasizes the importance of digitalization and automation in the agro-industrial complex, improving production efficiency, and reducing import dependence.
Our university not only trains highly qualified specialists for the agricultural sector but also plays a leading role in implementing innovative research and scientific developments into production. Our graduates work across the country, making a significant contribution to the development of rural economies.”
As part of the festive event, all university faculties — Agrobiology, Veterinary and Zooengineering, the Higher School of Business and Law, Engineering Technologies, Forestry and Land Resources, and Water Resources and IT Technologies — organized exhibitions in their respective fields, showcasing scientific achievements and innovative projects in the agricultural sector.
The event was attended by representatives of the agro-industrial sector, heads of agricultural enterprises, and partner organizations, including:

At the conclusion of the event, letters of appreciation were presented to active participants – representatives of agricultural enterprises and companies, followed by a concert performance by the university’s talented students.
The agricultural sector is the foundation of the national economy and a key to the welfare and stability of society.
