Dani Sarsekova was born on July 7, 1961, in the Kerbulak district of the Almaty region. In 1979, she entered the forestry department of the Kazakh Agricultural Institute, graduating with honors in 1984. After graduating, she was sent to the West Kazakhstan Forest Experimental Station of the Kazakh Forestry Research Institute (KAZRI) in Aktobe, where she worked as a research fellow for seven years. In 1991, she was invited to work as an assistant in the forestry department of the Kazakh Agricultural Institute, where she rose through the ranks from assistant to acting professor, head of department, and deputy dean for international students. In 2012, she was invited to the position of head of the forestry and forestry department at the Kazakh Agrotechnical University named after S. Seifullina. Since April 2021, she has served as Dean of the Faculty of Forestry, Wildlife, and Environment.
On August 21, 2023, she was appointed Head of the Department of Forest Resources, Hunting, and Fisheries of the Faculty of Water, Land, and Forest Resources.
On December 4, 2023, she was transferred to the position of Dean of the Faculty of Forestry and Land Management at KazNAU, where she currently works.
D.N. Sarsekova is the author of over 250 scientific and methodological works, a textbook in the state language approved by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, educational materials in three languages, innovative patents and copyright certificates, as well as a number of production proposals that have made a significant contribution to the scientific basis for the efficient use of forest resources and modern forestry practices. There are publications in foreign scientific journals with a high impact factor (Hirsch index 8 according to Scopus) and in the CIS countries (Hirsch index 5 according to RSCI).
