Gulmira Kumiskalievna Dzhanabekova was born on November 7, 1967, in Alma-Ata. She currently holds the position of Professor and Head of the Academician N.U. Bazanova Department of Animal Biology at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Zootechnical Engineering of the Kazakh National Agrarian Research University (KazNARU), located at 28 Abai Avenue, Almaty.
Gulmira Kumiskalievna Dzhanabekova's professional career is closely linked to scientific and educational activities in the fields of veterinary medicine and animal biology. She is currently the Head of the Academician N. U. Bazanova Department of Animal Biology at the Kazakh National Agrarian Research University. The disciplines and courses taught cover a wide range of biological and veterinary fields, including integrated teaching of animal biology, histology with the basics of cytology and embryology, and animal and bird anatomy.
Teacher professional development is characterized by the regular mastery of innovative methods and relevant scientific directions. In 2024, she completed training in integrated learning programs in biological disciplines at the Training Consulting Center, studied modern methods of 3D visualization and digital analysis in histology, as well as animal ethology using neural networks at the PROMVETFARM scientific and production firm. Additionally, her qualifications were enhanced through management courses in higher education at the QAZ.EDU training center and inclusive education courses at Lawyers&co in 2025.
