Graduated with honors from the Kazakh National Agrarian University in 2001–2006 with a degree in “Plant Husbandry, Breeding, and Biotechnology” (Diploma No. ЖБ 0093125, dated 10.03.2026). Immediately after graduation, he began his scientific career as a research assistant at the “Institute of Plant Biology and Biotechnology.”
From 2011 to 2013, he completed a Master’s degree in Agronomy at the Kazakh National Agrarian University with distinction (Diploma No. ЖООК-М 0023511, dated 01.04.2013). During his Master’s studies, he underwent scientific internships at the Weihenstephan University of Applied Sciences, Triesdorf, and the University of Hohenheim in Germany under the “Renewable Energy Sources” program. He continued his scientific work as a research associate at the Institute of Plant Biology and Biotechnology.
From 2014 to 2017, he pursued a PhD in Agronomy at the Kazakh National Agrarian University. During his doctoral studies, he completed a scientific internship at the All-Russian Rice Research Institute (state scientific institution), mastering physiological-biochemical, molecular, and breeding methods used in modeling and creating new rice varieties, in Krasnodar, Russia. He successfully defended his dissertation in 2018 and was awarded the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Agronomy (PhD Certificate No. 0002359, dated 20.04.2018).
Since September 2018, he has been working at the Kazakh National Agrarian University in the Department of Agronomy as an Assistant (Order No. 486 Ж/Қ, dated 07.09.2018). In 2019, he was promoted to Senior Lecturer of the Department of Agronomy (Order No. 425 Ж/Қ, dated 02.09.2019), and in 2020, he was appointed Associate Professor of the Department of Agronomy through a competitive process (Order No. 414 Ж/Қ, dated 01.09.2020). He delivers lectures, practical and laboratory classes to both undergraduate and graduate students, supervising their diploma projects. Additionally, he underwent a scientific internship at the Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops (IFVC) in Serbia on “Field and Plant Husbandry” and participated in an international scientific-practical conference on “Organic Farming.”
Since February 6, 2023, he has been appointed as Head of the Department of Agronomy, Breeding, and Biotechnology through a competitive selection (Order No. 61 ЖС/Қ, dated 06.02.2023) and continues to serve in this role. He is involved in developing curricula for undergraduate and dual-degree programs, including 6B08101 – Agronomy, 6B05104 – Bioinformatics, 6B05103 – Bioengineering, 7M08112 – Crop Breeding and Seed Production (2024–2026), and 8D08113 – Plant Breeding.
He has a total work experience of 20 years, including 8 years of scientific and pedagogical experience. Alongside his administrative duties, he actively participates in scientific projects and continues to conduct ongoing research.
