Relevance
Using the food waste as feed for animals is not good, because may be cause cow disease (GB).EU has established restrictions on the feeding of animal feed (meat, fish meal) for ruminants. Therefore, processing food waste into fish feed is the best alternative.
In the project will be use food waste of Nefte Stroy Service LTD LLP.
Creation and substantiation of veterinary-sanitary safety of feed additive «Eco feed» from food waste for aquaculture is an interdisciplinary project, which requires integration of knowledge from different subjects and educational areas and disciplines: Veterinary, microbiology, toxicology, aquaculture, food safety, feed preparation technology.
Goal
Creation and justification of veterinary-sanitary safety of non-traditional feed additive "Eco feed" from food waste for aquaculture
Expected and achieved results
1.The technology of obtaining and composition of an unconventional feed additive "Eco feed" from food waste for aquaculture will be investigated.
2.The xenobiotics in the feed additive "Eco feed" will be investigated.
3.The effect of natural mineral sorbents to stabilize the composition of feed additive "Eco feed" will be investigated.
4.The toxicological effect of various doses of feed additive "Eco feed" on the body of laboratory animals and aquaculture will be studied.
5.The effects of feed additive "Eco feed" on the resistance of the body and the morphology of the internal organs of fish will be determined.
6.The optimal dose of the introduction of non-traditional feed additive "Eco feed" into starter and production feed for fishwill be established.
7.A veterinary-sanitary assessment of the quality of fish meat will be given when using an unconventional feed additive "Eco feed".
8.Based on the results of the experiment, regulatory and technical documentation for an unconventional feed additive "Eco feed" for industrial fish farmingwill be developed.
The staff capacities, the material and technical base allows to fulfill all the tasks of the project. The developed feed additives from food waste are very promising for commercialization.
Information for potential users
Usingthe food waste as feed for animals is not good, because may be cause cow disease (GB).EU has established restrictions on the feeding of animal feed (meat-bone meal, fish meal) for ruminants. Therefore, processing food waste into fish feed is the best alternative.
In the project will be use food waste of "Nefte Stroy Service LTD" LLP.600-700 tons of wet food waste are received per month, which are processed on innovative equipment, resulting 60-70 tons of dry food waste.
Idea: Creation of veterinary-sanitary safety of feed additive "Eco feed" from food waste for aquaculture.
