About the project
Relevance
The proposed project "Development of technology for obtaining therapeutic and preventive nutrition products based on mare's milk with immunomodulating properties" is an important aspect in the development of functional products for the country's population that strengthen the immune system and fight gastrointestinal infections. More importantly, the development of technology for obtaining new products from mare's milk will create important strategic, economic and social challenges facing the agro-industrial complex of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the solution of which will improve the quality of life and the health of the population.
Object
The objectives of the project are to comprehensively study the safety, quality and development of technology for the production of new therapeutic and prophylactic products with immunomodulatory properties based on mare's milk.
Expected and achieved results
As a result of the project implementation, the following results will be obtained:
1. The physical and chemical properties of mare's milk will be studied depending on the season of the year.
2. Chemical contaminants of mare's milk (pesticides, nitrates, nitrites) will be investigated.
3. Biological contaminants of mare's milk (brucellosis, salmonellosis, E. coli) will be investigated and identified
4. Lactic acid bacteria from traditional dairy products (koumiss, shubat, ayran) will be isolated and identified.
5. Probiotic strains will be identified by PCR (genotyping) and registered with the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) using the Blast program.
6. A technology will be developed for obtaining a therapeutic and prophylactic product from mare's milk with immunomodulatory properties.
7. There will be development of regulatory documents for the production of therapeutic and preventive nutrition products based on mare's milk.
Information for potential users
The implementation of this project, which offers a new functional product, in the future will contribute to strengthening the health of the country's population, developing the production of domestic products with therapeutic and preventive actions and improving the quality of people's lives.
