About the project
Project relevance
The main focus of the project is aimed at solving the problems of identifying problems in the cultivation and economic efficiency of leguminous crops under climate change.
Aim
Analyze the impact of climate change on economic efficiency and develop scenarios for the impact of climate change on the production of legumes in Kazakhstan.
Expected and achieved results
Analysis of agricultural and economic-statistical data, meteorological maps with climatic data of the problem under study. A literature review was made and a review article was published on the topic “Economics of climate change in the regions of Kazakhstan and its impact on the agro-industrial complex” in the collection of the XIV International Scientific and practical conference “Actual Problems of Science and education in the face of modern challenges”.
Business trip to Almaty, Zhambyl, Turkestan, East Kazakhstan, West Kazakhstan, Kostanay and Akmola regions. Farms for leguminous crops were analyzed.
Designing a scenario for the development of the impact of climate change on the yield and economic efficiency of leguminous crops for 2030-2100. A report and presentation were prepared at the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Economy and Society in the Conditions of the New Reality" on the topic "Scenarios for the development of the impact of climate change on leguminous crops in Kazakhstan."
Analysis of the problems of cultivation of the economic efficiency of legumes under climate change in Kazakhstan through the Ricardian regression approach, as well as for the analysis of the efficiency of production and functioning of farms by the method of fuzzy pairwise comparison and analysis of the functioning environment.
Assessing the impact of climate change on pulses based on farmers' environmental awareness from the analysis of the New Ecological Paradigm.
Demonstration of a scenario for the development of climate change and its impact on the production of leguminous crops during 2030-2100. Description and comparative analysis of materials in the cultivation and production of leguminous crops with climate change.

Information for potential users
The main objective of the study is to identify the problem of economic efficiency of the cultivation of legumes under climate change using the Ricardian regression approach and to develop a scenario for the impact of climate change for 2030-2100. A Spatial Analysis of the Economic Impact of Climate Change on Leguminous Crops Yields will be made a scenario for 2030-2100. The study will use Geographically Weighted Regression (GWR) to determine spatially varying relationships between geophysical, soil, climate and socio-economic factors and their impact on crop yields. The economic analysis will include biophysical results to assess the impact of climate on the interaction of alternative development paths and key trends expected in this century in relation to supply and demand. This modelling approach combines relevant biophysical and socioeconomic variables. The study will analyze the average production area, yield, cost, gross profit and net profit from pulses per hectare to determine the economic efficiency of pulses. After the survey, methods such as the New ecological paradigm, Fuzzy pairwise comparison for the analysis of production efficiency, and DSA for the analysis of the functioning of farms will be applied. The following programs will be used in the study - SPSS, STATA and GIS. The results will show the need to promote an appropriate adaptation strategy to reduce the negative impact of climate change on the production of leguminous crops in Kazakhstan.
