NEW STAGE OF PARTNERSHIP BETWEEN KAZNARU AND THE UNIVERSITY OF NEBRASKA (LINCOLN)
The University of Nebraska is a leader in the development and implementation of artificial intelligence projects, scientific research, and the use of artificial intelligence to grow plants and animals.
On November 21, 2023, the Chairman of the Board-Rector of the Kazakh National Agrarian Research University, Professor Akhylbek Kurishbayev, met with the professor of the University of Nebraska (Lincoln) Daniel D.Snow.
Professor Daniel Snow is a leading specialist and expert in the field of water resource management and water quality. He is also Director of the University of Nebraska Water and Irrigation Research Laboratory.
Head of the KazNARU Akhylbek Kurishbayev mentioned significance of internationalization higher education and development of cooperation of two agricultural universities, instructed the professor to jointly implement modern educational and investment projects using the latest achievements of science.
During the meeting, the parties came to a common opinion regarding deepening fruitful cooperation in the field of information and consulting development of higher education and science. The following issues were noted:
- promoting and accelerating the process of development of dual degree program between the University of Nebraska and KazNARU;
- Creation of a joint international extension center, based on many years of experience working with agricultural producers at the University of Nebraska;
- Development of a program STUDY for students and teachers from the University of Nebraska to study and visit KazNARU.
To approve this agreement and create appropriate conditions in early December, a working visit of the Chairman of the Board-Rector of KazNARU Akhylbek Kurishbayev to the University of Nebraska (Lincoln) is planned.
At the end of the meeting, the American guest thanked the leadership of KazNARU for the warm welcome and productive discussions.
