“University Policies to Reduce Carbon Emissions”

On July 27 the Institute for green and sustainable development (KazNARU) organized a national workshop involving the representatives of regional universities from around Kazakhstan. The main topic for the discussion included a discussion of university policies on carbon emission, and coordination of efforts in developing methodology for calculations of carbon emission for QS SDG ranking. This included:

1)      Does your university have targets for reducing carbon emissions by 2010;

2)      How the university calculates the Carbon emission figure for the base year;

3)      What kind of reporting does the university conduct on carbon emissions in accordance with corporate standards and other generally accepted norms?
