Veteran, great teacher - Zulkharnay Seitov
This year, May 9 marks the 78rd anniversary of the Great Victory. This holiday is hot for every family, because the war did not bypass any family. In every family there are grandparents who participated in the war and returned victorious, or died bravely and did not return. Zulkarnay Seyitov, a war veteran who served at the Department of Physiology, Morphology and Biochemistry, participated in the Battle of Stalingrad, the liberation of Belarus and Poland, the
capture of Berlin, was awarded the Order of the Red Star and medals "For Courage".
In 1942, he had just entered the tenth grade and was drafted into the Red Army. Sent to Turinsk, Sverdlovsk region for military training. In the same year, he was sent to the Leningrad Front and fought against the invaders as part of the 2nd Shock Army. Later, he received special training to destroy enemy tanks. He trained as a sapper and was engaged in demining.
After the war, he graduated from the Omba Agricultural Institute, was sent to work in Alma-Ata, became a doctor of biological sciences.
