FULBRIGHT ETA AT KazNARU: NEW OPPORTUNITIES FOR ENGLISH LANGUAGE LEARNING

On September 10, 2026, the leadership of the Kazakh National Agrarian Research University (KazNARU) met with representatives of the U.S. Consulate General in Almaty and the Fulbright Program.
The meeting was attended by Zhanna Toktatova, a representative of the U.S. Consulate General in Almaty, and Malika Chowdhury, a participant in the Fulbright English Teaching Assistant (ETA) Program.
Fulbright ETA is an international educational program that enables young American professionals and university graduates to support English language teaching at schools, colleges, and universities around the world while promoting intercultural dialogue.
The parties discussed the implementation of the Fulbright ETA Program during the 2026–2027 academic year. Malika Chowdhury will teach English, lead conversation clubs, and organize cultural and educational activities for students.
During her visit, she toured the KazNARU campus and facilities, visited the center where the classes will be held, and met with students.
Participation in the Fulbright ETA Program will enable students to improve their English proficiency, strengthen their communication skills, and broaden their intercultural experience.
The implementation of this initiative marks another important step toward strengthening KazNARU’s international academic partnerships and enhancing the university’s language-learning environment.
