KazNARU CONCLUDES INTERNATIONAL SUMMER SCHOOL – 2026

The International Summer School - 2026, held at the Kazakh National Agrarian Research University (KazNARU) from June 1 to 14, 2026, has successfully concluded its activities. This year’s program brought together students, young researchers, academic staff, and leading international experts from various countries around the world, becoming an important platform for education, science, practical experience, and cultural exchange.
The opening remarks at the closing ceremony were delivered by the First Deputy Chairman of the Board - Rector of the Kazakh National Agrarian Research University, Doctor of Veterinary Sciences, Professor Pirimkul Ibragimov. In his speech, he highlighted the significant contribution of the International Summer School to enhancing participants’ theoretical knowledge, developing practical skills, increasing scientific interest, and strengthening international academic cooperation.
This year, more than 200 participants from the United States, Malaysia, China, Poland, Turkey, Georgia, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Afghanistan, Pakistan, France, and other countries attended the Summer School in an offline format. Over the course of two weeks, participants gained knowledge and exchanged experiences in the fields of agricultural sciences, water resource management, climate change, veterinary medicine, biotechnology, digitalization, agribusiness, and sustainable development.
The program covered nine major areas, including “SmartWater: Water Resources under Climate Change”, “Bioepidemiology in Veterinary Medicine”, “Genetics, Breeding and Biotechnology”, “Sustainable Agriculture under Climate Change”, “Smart Forestry and Land Resources Management”, “Innovative Technologies and Digitalization in Agricultural Engineering and Food Industry”, “Modernization of Agribusiness and Its Legal Framework”, as well as programs dedicated to sustainable development startups. The Summer School featured lectures, workshops, seminars, and practical training sessions within these thematic areas.
As part of the International Summer School, lectures were delivered not only by KazNARU scientists but also by professors from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, China Agricultural University, Lanzhou University, Universiti Putra Malaysia, Artvin Çoruh University and Sakarya University of Turkey, the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland, and other partner institutions. Participants also explored the university’s modern laboratories and actively took part in master classes, scientific discussions, cultural and educational events, and professional networking platforms.
During the closing ceremony, foreign professors and participants highly appreciated the excellent organization of the Summer School, emphasizing that the program provided students not only with academic knowledge but also with valuable international experience, new friendships, and opportunities for professional collaboration. At the end of the event, participants received certificates, and the organizers expressed their gratitude to all professors, experts, students, and partners for their active participation.
The International Summer School - 2026 became one of KazNARU’s significant initiatives aimed at advancing the internationalization of education, developing academic mobility, and strengthening international cooperation in agricultural science.
