KazNARU MARKED THE DAY OF SCIENCE
On April 9, 2026, a round table titled “Digital Agricultural Science: Synergy of Education, Research and Production in the Era of Artificial Intelligence” was held at the Kazakh National Agrarian Research University (KazNARU). The event focused on discussing the integration of digital technologies and artificial intelligence systems into the field of agricultural science.

The purpose of the event was to examine key aspects of interaction between agricultural science and production, including the advancement of digitalization in the sector, the development of mechanisms for implementing research outcomes and digital solutions into production practices, and the formulation of practical recommendations.
During the round table, First Deputy Chairman of the Board – Rector, Professor Pirimkul Ibragimov congratulated participants on the Day of Science Workers, celebrated on April 12 in honor of the birthday of the first President of the Academy of Sciences, the outstanding geologist Kanysh Satpayev. In his speech, he emphasized that the effective development of the agro-industrial complex is closely linked to the widespread adoption of digital solutions, big data analytics, automation of production processes, the development of precision agriculture, and digital monitoring of resources.

The round table brought together university leadership, faculty members, leading scientists, doctoral and master’s students, as well as representatives from the Kazakh Research Institute of Livestock and Feed Production, the Kazakh Research Institute of Agriculture and Crop Production, the Kazakh Research Institute of Processing and Food Industry, and the Kazakh Research Institute of Horticulture. Participants delivered presentations on current trends in the digitalization of the agro-industrial complex and the application of artificial intelligence in agriculture.

As part of the event, a ceremonial award session was held, during which scientists from the aforementioned research institutes and KazNARU were presented with letters of appreciation and medals from the President of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Chairman of the Board – Rector of KazNARU, academician Akhylbek Kurishbayev, in recognition of their significant contribution to the development of agricultural science.
Following the round table, digitalization of the agro-industrial complex, the implementation of artificial intelligence technologies, and the use of modern digital solutions were identified as priority areas for the development of agricultural science. Participants emphasized the importance of strengthening collaboration between education, science, and industry, effectively implementing research results into practice, and developing joint innovative projects to enhance the efficiency and competitiveness of the agro-industrial sector.
