KazNARU STUDENTS PARTICIPATE IN THE INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION CENTRAL ASIA PLAST WORLD 2026
From March 17 to 19, 2026, the 18th International Exhibition of Plastics, Polymers and Rubber Industry – CENTRAL ASIA PLAST WORLD – was held in Almaty at the Atakent Exhibition Center, Pavilion 11. The large-scale industry event brought together leading manufacturers, equipment suppliers, raw material providers and advanced technology companies from CIS countries, Europe and Asia, serving as an important platform for professional dialogue, experience exchange and development of new business opportunities.

Students of the Kazakh National Agrarian Research University (KazNARU) actively participated in the exhibition. For the students, visiting CENTRAL ASIA PLAST WORLD was not only an opportunity to explore the latest advancements in industrial production, recycling and environmental solutions, but also an important step in their professional development. Particularly valuable was the opportunity to meet potential employers, establish professional contacts with industry representatives and gain insight into current labor market requirements.
As part of the business program, Rafis Abazov, Director of the Institute of Green and Sustainable Development at KazNARU, delivered a presentation on modern trends in the digital transformation of eco-activism. In his speech, he highlighted the growing role of digital technologies in promoting environmental initiatives, developing volunteer movements and implementing the national program “Taza Kazakhstan.” Special attention was paid to engaging youth in environmental projects, fostering environmental responsibility and applying innovative tools for sustainable development.
Maya Suyunchaliyeva, ведущий специалист Institute of Green and Sustainable Development, presented information on sustainable development and sustainability-oriented education programs at KazNARU. She outlined the university’s priorities in integrating sustainability principles into academic curricula and training a new generation of specialists capable of addressing modern challenges effectively. Her presentation attracted significant interest from participants and emphasized the importance of integrating science, education and practice.
Participation of KazNARU students and faculty in CENTRAL ASIA PLAST WORLD 2026 became a vivid example of the university’s active engagement with the professional community and industrial partners. Such events contribute to expanding students’ horizons, developing professional competencies and strengthening motivation for career growth.
Following the exhibition, the organizers expressed their appreciation to KazNARU students and faculty for their active participation, high level of engagement and contribution to the business program. The university’s involvement in the exhibition reaffirmed its commitment to international cooperation, promotion of sustainable development and support for youth in building successful careers.
