The discipline “Soil Science” includes the following topics: the study of the origin, composition, structure, and properties of soils, as well as their role as a fundamental component of the biosphere and a key factor in agricultural production. It covers physical, chemical, and biological processes in the soil, its fertility, classification, and geographical distribution. The course also explores soil genesis, water, air, and thermal regimes, as well as issues of land reclamation, soil conservation, and the rational use of soil resources.
