The Department of “Law” conducts the educational activities in the programs of higher professional and postgraduate education in full-time education. The Department of “Law” is a graduate of the educational programs 6B04201/7M04201, 7M04205-Jurisprudence. The training is carried out in the Kazakh and Russian languages.
The Department of “Law” was established in 1980. Since 1980 to 1984, the department was headed by Doctor of Law, Professor Sakhipov Mardan Sakhipovich, famous scientist in the field of Agrarian Law, a participant in many all-Union scientific conferences and the International Conference in Potsdam in 1988, headed the Expert council of Higher Attestation Committee on legal specialties, he was one of the developers of a number of normative legal acts of the agro-industrial complex, for many years he was a member of the Scientific Advisory Council at the Supreme Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan. For successful scientific, pedagogical and social activities, Sakhipov Mardan Sakhipovich was awarded a certificate of Honor from the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
From 1987 to 1993, Associate Professor I.G. Pirozhkov, who had extensive experience in administrative work, was the head of the department.
In 1993 the Department of “Agricultural Production Management and Soviet Law” was renamed the Department of “Management and Law”.
In different periods of time, the management was carried out by Doctor of Economics, Professor Kubaev Kaziola Yerkenovich and Associate Professor Suleimenov Zhenisbek Zhumagalievich.
In 1996, on the basis of the Department of “Management and Law”, as well as the Department of “History and Socio-Political Theories” of Agricultural and Veterinary Institutes, the Department of “Agrarian Law” was organized, the head of which was appointed Associate Professor S.P. Varennikova. In the same 1996, the Department of “International Economic Relations” was established, the founder of the department was an academician Kenzhegali Abenovich Sagadiev (1997-2000). K.A. Sagadiev is a major organizer of the higher school and science of the Republic of Kazakhstan. On the basis of two departments of “Management and Law” and “International Economic Relations”, the Department of “World Economy and Law” was established, the head of which was appointed Candidate of Economics, Associate Professor Shalgimbayeva Kulyash Basyrgabyzovna. She has published more than 80 scientific and methodological works. In 2002 PhD in Economics, Professor G.R. Madiev was appointed head of the department.
By reorganizing the Department of “World Economy and Law” in September 2004, the Department of “Jurisprudence” was established under the leadership of Candidate of Law, Associate Professor A.E. Zhatkanbayeva. Since September 2009 the Department of “Legal Disciplines” was headed by Candidate of Law, Associate Professor Nurmukhanmbet D.Y. Since October 2010, the head of the department of “Legal Disciplines” was appointed Candidate of Law, Associate Professor Kunkhozhaeva G.N., since December 2013 the head of the department of “Law” was Candidate of Law, Associate Professor Kuandykov B.Zh.

The teachers of the department are constantly developing and publishing educational and methodological manuals. In order to help the students, the methodological recommendations and textbooks in Kazakh and Russian languages have been published in the following disciplines: Administrative Law; Constitutional Law; Land Law; Civil Law; Theory of State and Law; Criminal Law; Civil Procedure; Criminal procedure; International law; Legal regulation of information protection; Public Service and Management; Financial Law, Business Law and others.
Thus, it should be noted that the department of “Law” has a powerful educational potential, the implementation of which allows the department to firmly occupy a position in the Republic of Kazakhstan. Innovative activity is currently one of the important activities of the department. The department actively participates in the social and educational life of the faculty and the university.
The mission corresponds to the mission of KazNARU and consists in creating conditions for the formation of competitive specialists-lawyers, claimed in the agro-industrial complex of Kazakhstan and the global scientific and educational space, for the development of a socially oriented, highly cultured and competent personality.
The main goal is to train highly qualified, competitive lawyers-specialists in the field of agro-industrial complex of Kazakhstan.
Tasks:
- provision of high-quality educational services; organization of the educational process taking into account the modern requirements of legal science, rapid response to changes in the legislative framework of the Republic of Kazakhstan, systematic updating of all aspects of the educational process;
- formation of a national model of continuing education, integrated into the global educational space by comparing it with foreign educational programs, satisfying the needs of the individual and society;
- training of a competitive specialist in accordance with the modern requirements of the international educational space;
- ensuring professional and social mobility of the future specialist;
- the formation of a competence-based approach to the educational process, when the emphasis is shifted from the content of learning to the learning outcome, allowing you to satisfy the external requirements for the quality of education;
- education of a specialist, who knows the national culture of thinking and moral traditions and values.
