The Department of Management and Organisation of Agribusiness named after Ch.D.Churin is one of the large structures of the university, offering a variety of educational programs from bachelor's and master's degrees to Business administration (MBA), EMBA and additional professional education. This is a multidisciplinary department where students have the opportunity to study not only economics but also management, marketing, public and local administration, agrotourism, and other academic disciplines that correspond to global trends and are in demand in the labor market.
The courses are conducted in both Kazakh and Russian, as well as in English, which allows students to gain extensive knowledge and skills in an international environment. The department has a qualified staff of teachers of both domestic and foreign origin, which enriches the educational process and allows students to gain a wide range of knowledge and experience from various cultural and professional perspectives.
The history of the formation and development of the department begins in 1932, the first head of which was Professor S. I. Azev. (1932-1937). Subsequently, Churin Hamid Davletovich, who led the department for twenty years (1953-1973), contributed to the formation of the department. The biography of the scientist is largely connected with the achievements of the agricultural sector of the country: for example, in 1932-1937. Churin H. D. held the positions of director of the Kazakh Agricultural Institute, then head of the Department of Agriculture of the State Planning Committee of the Kazakh SSR, Chairman of the Kazakh branch of the All-Union Academy of Agricultural Sciences named after Lenin, First Deputy Chairman of the State Planning Committee of the Kazakh SSR.

H.D. Churin, who worked at the Kazakh Agricultural Institute for more than 30 years, made a huge contribution to the training of agricultural specialists of the republic. Over the years, the heads of departments were: Doctor of Law M. S. Sakhipov (1980-1984), Doctor of Economics R. R. Autov (1984-1993). In 1993, the department was renamed the Department of Management and Law, the head of the department was doctor of Economics Kubaev K.E. In 1996, on the basis of the unification of the departments of the same name of two institutes at the Kazakh State Agricultural Institute – headed by Madiev G.R. and AZVI - Kerimova U.K. - the Department of Management and Marketing was established. In 2003, the Department of Economics was headed by Doctor of Economics, Professor Suleimenov Zh.Zh. A certain contribution to the training of agricultural economists in Kazakhstan was made by Esaulenko P.I., Lim A.P., Nurpeisov B.S., Turganbaev S.G. and others.
Such scientists as E.B. Taybekov, B.M. Vasiliev, future corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kazakh SSR H.A. Arystanbekov, Doctors of Economics R.R. Autov and S.N. Karamendin, Madiev G.R., Kerimova U.K., Mizanbekova S.K. Shalgimbayeva S.K. contributed to the development of the department, training of agricultural specialists and scientific personnel of the republic.
The teachers of the department conduct research and development of economic problems of scientific and applied importance, affecting topical issues of modern Kazakhstan in the context of economic reform, which are implemented in scientific projects of the department, such as: "Public-private partnership in the grain subcomplex as the basis for intensive development of agriculture" with a funding volume of more than 38 million tenge; "Organizational and economic mechanism of sustainable development of enterprises of the feed industry of the agro-industrial complex using innovative and digital technologies" - more than 47 million tenge, led by leading scientists Madiev G.R., Kerimova U.K., Mizanbekova S.K., Shalgimbayeva S.K., Beisenova G.Sh., etc., providing high research potential of the professorial-teaching staff of the department.
For high achievements in educational, scientific and educational work, the teachers of the department became the holders of the grant "The best University teacher" in the nomination of the Ministry of Education and Science: Kerimova U.K. (2006); Suleimenov Zh.Zh. (2007); Shalgimbayeva K.B. (2008); Kayyrbaeva A.E. (2008); Yertazin H.E. (2009); Tireuov K.M. (2010); Nurmanbekova G.K. (2010); Mizanbekova S.K. (2011); Omarkulova M.B. (2012); Suleimenov Zh.Zh. (2013), etc.
The teaching staff of the department has close cooperation with leading universities of the near and far abroad, with specialists from the USA, Germany, Poland, Holland, Canada and neighboring countries, agricultural universities in Russia, Ukraine, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan. The teachers of the department won an internship in the USA under the international FEB program for a period of 6 months: in 2005 - Esengazieva S.K., 2006 - Uspanova MU., 2007 – Kusainova A.K., 2008 -Irkitbayeva A.B., 2009 - Zaurbekova Z.A. The department also practices internships and training of undergraduates and doctoral students at foreign partner universities.
Thus, today, the department has all the necessary potential to fulfill the tasks set, the basic criteria of which are a powerful material and technical base, an experienced teaching staff to graduate a high-quality contingent of students.
