KazNARU GRADUATE STUDENT ADMITTED TO THE PHD PROGRAM AT HARBIN VETERINARY RESEARCH INSTITUTE
Baglan Namet Nurlankyzy, a graduate of the “7M09101 – Veterinary Medicine” scientific-pedagogical program under the Department of Biological safety at Kazakh National Agrarian Research University (KazNARU), is completing her master’s studies this year.
While pursuing her degree, she actively engaged in scientific research and became well-recognized in the international scientific community. Recently, she was accepted into the PhD program at the Harbin Veterinary Research Institute under the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS) on a fully funded scholarship.
Baglan Nurlankyzy conducted in-depth research under the supervision of Professor Kaissar Tabynov, a well-known scientist in the fields of biological safety and virology, gaining extensive experience in virology, immunology, and vaccinology. She also studied at the Estonian University of Life Sciences through the Erasmus+ international program, where she further developed her skills in a global scientific environment.
Her doctoral research will focus on the diagnosis of infectious viral diseases in horses, as well as the development of diagnostic tools and vaccines. Her academic supervisor will be Professor Wang Xiaojun, a leading specialist in veterinary virology.
This achievement by a KazNARU graduate is not only a reflection of a young scientist’s determination and commitment to professional growth, but also a clear testament to the growing reputation of Kazakhstan’s leading agricultural university in the international scientific community.
