KazNARU LAUNCHED KAZAKHSTAN-CHINA INTERNATIONAL AGROTECHNOLOGIES AND LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH CENTER
This is the first landscape architecture research center in Kazakhstan. It was opened with the support from the Henan University of Agriculture, China, on the basis of the Kazakh National Agrarian Research University.
Henan Province is one of the major regions in China that is rapidly developing, with a population of about 100 million, with good agriculture. KazNARU leadership has been holding numerous meetings in recent years with scientific organisations in the province to promote agricultural science and knowledge and share advanced ideas and best practices.
Specifically, in March 2023 a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between KazNARU and Henan Agricultural University.
On June 15, 2023 the Head of KazNARU Akylbek Kurishbayev met with a delegation led by Diao Yuhua, Deputy Director of the Department of Education of Henan Province. They discussed issues related to expanding cooperation in higher education, joint training of competitive new generation specialists and research.
On January 31, 2024 KazNARU First Deputy Chairman of the Board, Pirimkul Ibragimov, Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the Hinan Agrarian University, Prof. Zhdan Lonshyan and scientists.
"In March 2024 I went on a special business trip to the Henan Agricultural University by order of the rector. During this visit, several important agreements were reached on the development of strategic partnerships between our schools and scientific institutions. The allocation of 30 grants to train graduate and doctoral students at the Henan University of Agriculture also indicates the deepening of our relationship. We are confident that the Kazakhstan-China International Agrotechnology and Landscape Architecture Research Center, which is opened today, will become an innovative platform that unites knowledge and experience of the two countries. This is the first time that such a landscape architecture scientific and research center has been opened in the country," said Pirimkul Sholpankululy.
In her turn, the head of the delegation, Su Xiaohun, Deputy Director of the Standing Committee of the All-Chinese People's Representatives in Henan Province, expressed her support to deepening mutual relations. She also urged the joint use of innovation and technological advances in agriculture, and the systematic implementation of joint projects under educational programs among higher schools.
During the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between KazNARU and the Henan Agricultural University to develop cooperation in academic exchanges and knowledge and the establishment of the Kazakhstan-China International Agrotechnology and Landscape Architecture Center.
Within the framework of this important document, it aims to work together in the future of urban ecology, landscape planning/design, environmental services to a new level, urban green spaces and large-scale green infrastructure, area landscape planning, urban climate change, water resource management, natural ecology protection and other areas.
In addition, an agreement to open Kazakhstan-China Joint International Veterinary Medicine and Food Safety Laboratory at the KazNARU base was signed with the participation of the parties. The opening of this laboratory in the country is an important step in developing and implementing innovative solutions to improve animal health, prevent livestock disease and ensure biosecurity in the region.
The third news is that the International Center for Chinese Language Development was established in our university. It is believed that the Language Center will become a unique platform for the study and sharing of advanced experiences in the educational spheres of both countries, as well as the development of scientific and cultural connections.
The meeting was attended by China by Wang Xiaoping, Chairman of the Committee on Education, Science, Culture and Health of the All-China Meeting of Peoples' Representatives, Liu Xinjun, Deputy Secretary-General of the Standing Committee of the Peoples' Representatives of the Henan Province, Tu Kyi, Director of the International Cooperation Department of the Henan Agricultural University, and heads of scientists and construction, KazNARU on behalf of Vice Chancellors and Deans, professors and researchers are involved.
