This international organization, whose main goal is the integration of Turkic states, was established on July 12, 1993, in Almaty on the basis of a mutual agreement at the meeting of the Ministers of Culture of Turkey, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, and Turkmenistan. "The foundation of the Turkic peoples spread from our Great Steppe. Our origin and culture are the same, except for a slight difference in language. In the waves of time, we were scattered and separated from each other due to various objective reasons. In the present period, historians, scientists, researchers, writers of the member states of this organization are undertaking great work in terms of recognition of our past and development of spiritual cooperation. The National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan also supports these good deeds and is interested in working together. Therefore, congratulating you on your election to the leadership of "TURKSOY", I believe that in the future we will establish cooperation in the field of joint development of science and education," said Akylbek Kurishbayev, President of the National Academy of Sciences.
In turn, Sultan Raev spoke about the practical steps taken by the organization, which has been working tirelessly in the direction of promoting the culture, art, literature, and history of the Turkic world in recent years. He focused on the literary works of the brotherly nations being translated into foreign languages.
"We have organized such events as the 150th anniversary of the Kazakh greats - Abai, the 150th anniversary of Akhmet Baitursynov, the 125th anniversary of Mukhtar Auezov, the 125th anniversary of Temirbek Zhurgenov, which inspired all the Turks, and we published their precious heritage in several languages. We still have a strategic plan and common goals in spirituality. We are actively involved in the study of historical issues related to the Turkic world, in the presentation of the gallery of pictures on the stones of the Kazakh steppe, in the study of ancient inscriptions, and in the strengthening of other scientific relations. That's why we have come to discuss with you," said the head of "TURKSOY" Sultan Akimuly.
