On 19-20th September, Kazakh national agrarian university participated on QS WORLDWIDE International Conference and Exhibition themed "Journey to Global Prominence: Harmony of Human Heritage and Advanced Technology", hosted ate KazNU named after Al-Farabi. International conference, gathering the representatives of global higher education institutions, was held for the fourth time in the world and for the first in Kazakhstan and Central Asia.

Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Berdybek Saparbayev and Mayor of Almaty Bakytzhan Sagintayev made speeches. Berdibek Saparbayev read a welcoming speech on behalf of the Prime Minister Askar Mamin: "Our country is dealing with issues of increasing competitiveness. Today, participants of the forum will discuss the prospects of development of universities within the framework of educational, scientific and spiritual values. "
Scientists and educational experts from more than 60 countries all over the world,  UN, UNESCO, other international organizations, as well as representatives of big companies like Microsoft, BBC, Elsevier, Springer Nature, YODAK, AKSON, also leaders of 800 best universities in QS rankings; SUN, USRN, IREG Observatory, ENAE representatives attended.

During the international conference, the role of universities in increasing the popularity of higher education institutions and the formation of global human capital were discussed.
According to the Senior Vice President of QS Quacquarelli Symonds Ltd Ben Sowter, delegates were grateful for the content of the conference. Everything was very informative. "We are especialized in identifying the best universities. Such arrangements are very important to share experiences and find new acquaintances. We would like all universities to be involved in social issues of society, and students to be engaged in art, music and social work.
Today's students need to be the leader, the brightest person who can change the world in future. And our main job is to achieve this, "Ben Sowter said.
