Priority directions of development of science

Development of theoretical and methodological basis for conservation, reproduction and effective use of natural resources and industrial and innovative development of the agro-industrial Volume of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the conditions of globalization of the economy and WTO accession;
Development of landscape adaptive technologies for production of competitive agricultural products, environmental protection and reproduction of natural resources (water and soil) in the south and south-east of Kazakhstan;
Scientific justification of measures and methods to ensure conservation, reproduction of forests, forest biodiversity enrichment and improvement of mechanisms for sustainable innovative development of forestry and planting activities in Kazakhstan;
Development and transfer of innovative resource-saving, and knowledge-intensive technologies and technical means for agriculture, food and processing industry;
Creation of competitive new types, lines of animals and introduction of gene pool of cattle breeds of world selection adapted in Kazakhstan;
Development of production technology of domestic molecular genetic test-systems for the diagnosis of infectious and invasive diseases and the introduction of new technologies and safety products and raw materials of animal origin;
Development of innovative water-saving technologies and technical means for wide implementation in irrigated agriculture and integrated ecosystem water use in the river basins of Kazakhstan.

The State Agrarian Policy, which provides accelerated transfer of the agro-industrial Volume of the RK to the industrial-innovative way of development, which occupies a leading position in the economy of the country, is the basis for the choice of priority directions of the university development.
In this regard, the University is conducting research on the following priority directions of science development:

About competition for annual awards in the field of science and state scientific scholarships

In accordance with Government Decree № 830 "On Science Awards and State Scientific Scholarships" on July 19, 2011, the order of the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated June 11, 2020 № 242 "On approval of the rules of state service" Acceptance of work for the competition of awards in science, state scientific scholarships, Order of the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 21, 2011 № 536 "On approval of the size of awards in science and state scientific scholarships and requirements for registration of competitive materials" Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan announces competitions 2020 for annual awards and scholarships in science:

- one K.I. Satpayev Prize for the best scientific research in the field of natural sciences (350 monthly estimated figures);
- one Valikhanov Prize for the best scientific research in the field of humanities (350 monthly computational indicators);
- one Y. Altynsarin Prize for the best scientific research and work in the field of pedagogy (350 monthly settlement indices);
- one Kul-Tegin Prize for outstanding achievement in the field of Turkology (300 monthly settlement indices);
- one D.A. Kunaev Prize for young scientists for the best work in the field of natural sciences (150 monthly settlement indices);
- one M. Auezov Prize for young scientists for the best work in the field of humanities (150 monthly settlement indices);
- 75 state scientific fellowships, including 50 for the talented (24 monthly settlement indicators during 12 months).
