In July 2010 Kazakhstan-Japan Innovation Center was found in order to provide a scientific and educational base, to improve efficiency of scientific research, to promote the university-industries-alliance for innovative research in the field of biotechnology, nanotechnology and new materials, new agricultural technologies, molecular genetic and other key strategic scientific and to accumulate technological knowledges. The center is established to celebrate the partnership with Japanese corporations «JEOL», «Shimadzu» and Kazakh National Agrarian Research University and mainly conducts the joint researches in international programs.
Kazakhstan-Japan Innovation Center (KJIC) is part of the University assisting scientists by providing critical technologies and knowledge, to improve research, and to accelerate innovative research projects in companies and organizations, as well as to contribute to educations by practical training of graduate students, doctoral candidates and students of the University. The center was opened in September 2010 during a visit of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N.A.Nazarbayev due to 80th anniversary of the Kazakh National Agrarian University. The center has equipped with modern equipment in the field of microbiological, biochemical and genetic studies.
