POKAZ - International Joint Degree Master Program
funded by the  Polish National Agency of Academic Exchange (NAWA) within the KATAMARAN Program

Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW) and Kazakh National Agrarian Research University (KazNARU) offer studies POlish-KAZakh International Joint Master in Environmental Engineering: “Modern engineering in water management”.

This program is a joint initiative of two Universities, which gives the possibility of creating an extraordinary, world special program consisting of practical lectures organized in Poland and Kazakhstan.

The project aims to improve the competitiveness of Kazakhstan and Poland in the field of engineering and water management education and science. In a situation of progressing climate change, graduates with knowledge of water issues in the agricultural landscape and protected areas (Poland) as well as in areas with drying reservoirs (Kazakhstan) are becoming sought-after experts all over the World. The planned activities are directed at:
  • increasing student mobility,
  • participation of visiting professors in teaching,
  • study visits of the Universities staff to Poland and Kazakhstan,
  • training for staff and students and expanding the current offer of studies, including their promotion.
The main result of the project is the implementation of joint MSc studies. We believe that project will increase students' competencies in the field of environmental engineering, especially in the specialization focused on knowledge and practical skills in sustainable and integrated water management and modern water engineering. Students will improve their intercultural, language, and interpersonal competencies. The tools to achieve this goal will include joint field and laboratory classes (both in Poland and Kazakstan), remote teaching, and the participation of world-class specialists.
